Fluke season may be over but the bite is still going strong. Reports from slipholders indicate that the weakfish are running in the Chapel Hill Channel. Crabbing has been productive in the river and bays. Snappers are everywhere and are out in full force. Some striped bass and blues are being caught in the rip, Sandy Hook and the Ambroise Channel. Sea Bass are being caught on wrecks and rough spots as well as one Black Fish per day. With the approaching cooler nights and the water temperatures eventually dropping, the striped bass bite should be picking up. Striped bass regulations: 2 fish at a minimum of 28”
